Dean's Office

Dr. Michel Delorme became Dean of the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University in July of 2024.

Dr. Delorme came to Saint Mary's from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, where he was the Dean of the Faulty of Management. He also served as the Director of the School of Business of Simmons University, Boston, USA and worked at Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, France where he was a full professor in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour, and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Prior to that, he served as the Vice Dean for Knowledge Development and Research at Rennes School of Business in France. 

Dr. Delorme brings many years of experience in international leadership positions and expertise in accreditation issues, as well as management of faculty, research and doctoral programs. He has forged international partnerships with excellent academic institutions around the world. 

Dr. Delorme's research focuses on understanding, within the context of internationalization, the changing roles and responsibilities of top executives and managers in modern organizations and the competiencies reuqired to be successful leaders. Dr. Delorme holds a Doctorate degree in Management Sciences from the University of Strasbourg (France) and an EMBA degree from the University of Sherbrooke (Canada).
